The RIO-16D is a low-cost, input-protected I/O module with seven 10-bit analog to digital inputs, and sixteen digital I/Os that can be configured as either inputs or outputs during operation. Each analog input channel is configured to measure 0 to 20mA (various forms of data scaling are included). The analog output channels can drive 0 to 20mA (different scales are included). The digital input channels can accumulate pulse counts for AMR applications.
The RIO-16D products are configured, read, and controlled using Modbus RTU commands by wireless, RS-232 or RS-485 connection. All three interfaces can be connected simultaneously, so long as no more than one interface is polling at a time. The device's Modbus address can be set with a software configuration tool.
The enclosure supports wall panel or DIN rail mounting.
