Reset Button

The RIO-15C has one external switch. Pushing the reset button will quickly reset the device. Holding the reset button for 15 seconds or more will reset the serial mode to 9600 baud and no parity.

The reset button is disabled during firmware updates to protect the unit.

Jumpers

The RIO-15C has six, on-board jumpers; four near the analog input, connector pins and two near the analog output, connector pins. These jumpers control whether the analog signals are currents or voltages.

By default, the four jumpers near the analog input, connector pins will be shunted (shorted with small, plastic connectors). This selects an input range of 0 - 20mA. Removing these shunts selects an input range of 0 - 5V.

By default, the two jumpers near the analog output, connector pins will not be shunted. This selects an output range of 4 - 20mA. Placing shunts on these jumpers will select an output range of 1 - 5V (into a load of at least 10kΩ).
