In some systems, radios are used in pairs to connect units that need to communicate, but are not located near each other. In such cases, unit A1 only needs to communicate with unit B1, A2 with B2, etc.
The simplest way to use radios in this sort of environment is keep them in transparent mode and configure each radio in the pair to the same address. In such a case, jump tables are also useful to keep each pair isolated. So you could configure both A1 and B1 to location 1:1, and to use jump table 1. A2 and B2 could be configured to 1:2 and set to use jump table 2. And so on.
